We Have a Book For You!

We value reading and know you do, too! That's why Red Rock Public Library maintains a diverse and ever-evolving collection for you to choose from.

But with all the options out there, how do you decide what to read next?

That's why you've come to the Red Rock Reading Room.  This blog is maintained by our trained library staff to help you find a book that matches your reading interests. Here are some of the ways we do it:

Recommended Reading Lists

We've pulled together a variety of book lists for every age covering a lot of interest areas:  everything from what's new at the library to what's currently trending in every age group.

If you see a title that interests you, just click on the bookjacket.  it will take you right into our online catalog where you can see whether it's available - and easily place a hold request if it's not.

Here's an example of one of our favorite reading lists. We asked each staff member at Red Rock to tell us their most favorite book of all time. This is a great place to start:

The Joie du Livre Book Club

The Joie du Livre Book Club meets the second Tuesday of every month, 7-8pm in the Sundance Room on Level 2.  Everyone is welcome: lively discussions and some light refreshments are always guaranteed!

Joining a book club (or just showing up for a discussion) is a great way to find a book to read - and one of the best ways to share your love of reading with others who feel the same way.

Library Staff

People who work in libraries love to read. Anyone on staff will be happy to offer suggestions or we will find the right staff person to respond to your inquiry.  Just come into the library and talk with one of our staff members.  You can also visit the "Contact Us" page and fill out a request form.  We'll email you a list of recommendations in no time.

More than just books!

Don’t think our readers’ advisory services stop at books. You can ask us for suggestions for CDs, movies, and even websites, too!
